Sparky`s Diner in Traverse City

Currently for covid 19 they do not have signs on their doors asking customers to enter wearing masks nor are any of the wait staff wearing masks. Not the safest place to eat at right now. All other restaurant in town have their staff wearing masks. Regular customer but will not return at this time

The food was terrific but you'll have to pay a bit more for it. The service for our Lunch today wasn't timely though, since we waited 25 minutes for our food after ordering. The white haired manager basically doesn't do anything. They practice good social distancing when they seated us, but only one waitress out of them all wore a mask.

The google page says takeout only but it IS open for dine in again. I was in over the weekend and they continue to provide great food and wonderful waitstaff! I will be a regular at this restaurant!

So good some of the best diner food ever

Fun atmosphere and delicious food! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served either at your table or through their drive through window. Inside is a quaint diner with a 50's rock and roll feel, complete with jukebox. Seating is limited, so not ideal for large groups, though the staff is friendly and will do their best to accommodate. They also have amazing milkshakes!

Have eaten burgers here before and their really good. Last night I had the perch at 11.99 and I wasn't disappointed. Four nice sized pieces with good slaw and French fries that stayed hot.

Delicious diner fare at a reasonable price. Daily specials are a great deal. Sandwiches, burgers, and dogs come with a half order of fries...but it is a monstrous half order. Yay. I love fries! Complete diner feel. Efficient, and friendly waitresses.

Love their breakfast so much food and great prices

The first time we went into Sparky's for breakfast we ended up sitting at a table with a group of the regulars. They made us feel very welcome, and the food, service and value were great. We'll go there every time we're in town.

American fries were old, hash browns were undercooked, and coffee was watery. Staff was friendly and service was quick.

This is the old fashion diner I have been looking for my whole life! I understand why this is a local favorite! Food is tasty, service is outstanding and the atmosphere is homie! Simply perfect.

Had an old rock and roll decor with a mom and pop feel. Had a large menu with breakfast all day, but really closed at 3:00pm. Food was fast and daily specials were up on the blackboard and not announced by the server. I noticed after I ordered. Atmosphere was super super casual and portions were large and hearty. Prices were comparable to sized portions. Staff was friendly.

At Sparky now. Wife had Detroit Coney. Good, but came with just coney sauce, no onions, or mustard. Both standards on "Detroit Coney". I had the cam strips. They were good. Came with fries and Cole slaw. Coney also came with fries and saw.

The best Hot Roast beef sandwich! And the strawberry shortcake was so delicious! Will put this on our list to make sure we come here again when passing through.

Quaint little American diner. Waitress was super friendly. Seemed a bit pricey for diner fare. I did have an enormous omelette that was very tasty.

Sparkys has always been a place i loved to go! I miss Brent like crazy, but Jody is still there and the food is as it has always been! Its a friendly place and i love the juke box! Plus its been expanded!

It's a diner just south of tourist section of town. Staff were great. Breakfast exceeded expectations. Will go back.

Very friendly staff and quality food. The kids got warm cinnamon rolls for breakfast and said they were the best they have ever had. Service was prompt and food was better then your average diner or Coney island.

Everything we got was delicious and Jody, our waitress, was really nice and funny!

Loved the atmosphere and healthy food coming out of the kitchen every now and then...you will get deliriously hungry waiting for the food because of the smell, but you will leave completely satisfied!

Always a great experience here. So glad they were able to expand and keep their prices VERY reasonable. Get in here and enjoy a meal and they are now open for dinner so no excuses!

We do the take -out window. Always good friendly service. The burgers are great,and their fish is delicious!

A favorite family dinner loved by all. Home style cooking with extra. 1/2 pound burgers cooked to perfection, onion rings, and the best chocolate malts. They have tons of old school rock records on the walls and a rock-ola jukebox packed full of 45's to listen to while chatting with friends and new acquaintances. The atmosphere is so relaxed strangers share tables and talk as if friends of long ago. The staff is some of the best waitress with skill and wit. A pleasure to talk to all of them. They serve breakfast and lunch from 7am till 3pm

VISITING Michigan last weekend me and the hubby checked this spot out for breakfast. Loved the old school decor.Service was a bit slow .coffee was good.My Blueberry pancakes were definitely 👍, my bacon was good...unfortunately my husband had a really bad stomachache afterwards. He tried the corn beef hash omelet..Not So good 😔I do not think we will be rushing back!

Great food and service. We always visit when we come to Traverse City. Had a small issue w my meal once and immediately it was fixed. A relaxed place but still with high standards on food quality and customer service.

Sparky's Diner is awesome like a blast into the past. They treat you like family and the food is prepared just the way you want. They have all the classic selections of breakfast and lunch and you will not be disappointed. It's hidden away hard to find but once you find it you will come back. This was our first time here and it's like they have known us forever. Not too many places are like that.

I've been into this restaurant twice now both times food marginal at best. I saw my food setting under heat lamp so it was served cold, ick. Waitstaff don't seem to want to give you time of day unless you're a known regular.

I had a cherry chicken sandwich with sour dough bread. Scrumptious! Waitress was very polite & professional. I was a bit stressed about the time & considered doing takeout & eating in parking lot of my next appointment. She sat down & made a couple suggestions. She was very attentive with other customers as well. The waitress gets her own 5 stars! Thank you Sparky's! Never disappointed!
